ROCKBAND A-THON is a Music Booster fund raising event for the TFMS Music Department.   The 8^th Grade Band students that participate will be raising money specifically for the OSU Band Festival in April. All other funds raised will go into the General Music Booster fund.

ROCKBAND A-THON is an event where players compete in Rock Band™ for fame, prizes and the adoration of a cheering crowd. So, get your friends together and form a Rock Band to perform at ROCKBAND A-THON ! All skill and grade levels are welcome. It will be a day of fun performances with great prizes for the best bands, the best showmanship, the best “Rock” appearance and the most money raised. Fill out the registration and sponsorship forms and turn them in to hold your spot in the event.

REGISTRATION - If you wish to participate in this event, you must register by completing both a registration form and a sponsorship form. One registration is required for each Band, one sponsorship form for each band member. A Band may consist of four individuals. At the time of registration, each Band must choose a name, identify a Band Leader, name all the members and choose 3 songs from the song list. (Bands choose song and player difficulty levels at their own discretion – although difficulty levels will affect scoring.) You can only register once and you can’t change/remove yourself and/or any Band member from a Band once you have registered. In addition, Band members may not play for more than one Band. Band Registration forms are due on Friday January 22^nd. Sponsorship forms are due by Monday, Feb. 1st. Your Band will not be fully registered until each band member has turned in a Sponsorship form.

ENTRY FEE: Each BAND must raise a minimum donation of $100, though donations and pledges of higher amounts are encouraged. This can be split up amongst all the Band members or raised by an individual member. Each band member must submit a sponsorship form to confirm their entry into the contest. There will be prizes for the Bands that raise the most money.

OSU Fundraising: If the band member is an 8^th Grade Band student, any money raised will go directly to reducing that student’s fee for the OSU band trip. All other funds raised will go to the general Music Booster fund.

How Does it Work? There will be three rounds of play. Each band will play one song from our song catalog in each of the rounds.   Each song will be scored based on the points received from the game during the performance. The scores will then be added together for a final score. The top 4 teams will compete in a one-song Championship playoff round with the audience choosing the overall winner. The audience will choose the winner based on skill, sportsmanship and appearance. It’s not necessarily about who hits the most notes but who rocks the house!
